Hazaribagh: A landmine weighing 40 kg was found in a forest here on Thursday from the Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand. The police reported it. The landmine was found in a forest near Kharki village under the Bishnugarh police station area. According to police, posters of 26 Maoists were also recovered from the spot.

Superintendent of Police Manoj Ratan Chothe said it is suspected that the Maoists had planted it to target security personnel. The bomb disposal squad of the Jharkhand Jaguar Force defused the landmine, which weighed 40 kg. People were shaken by this incident.

Another shocking incident is coming out from Jharkhand, where a stepmother gave poison to 3 children by mixing in food. The condition of the children deteriorated as soon as they ate the food. The case is of Rohantand of Gadkura panchayat under the third police station area of Giridih. 1 child died. It is being said that Shailin Marandi, the first wife of Sunil Soren, a resident of Rohantand village, died of a snake bite two years ago. They both had a daughter and four sons. After the death of his first wife, Sunil Soren married Sunita Hansda.
