43 workers from Madhya Pradesh were freed from Telangana contractors

Hyderabad: 43 workers of Karamai village of Majauli police station in Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh were caught in the contractors' barin in Vanaparthi district of Telangana. They have now returned home after being freed.

According to the information, the workers and contractors were contacted. The position of these workers is changing frequently. Thecontractorsdid not leave them. Sometimes Maharashtra, Hyderabad and sometimes Karnataka have been replaced by workers. Finally, the workers' position was found in Vanaparthy district of Telangana, where direct police rescued the workers from contractors in collaboration with Vanaparthi Police Superintendent Apurva Rao. A total of 43 workers were transported by police bus to Secunderabad railway station, 150 km from Vanaparthy. All the workers were brought to Satna by train, and then the district administration brought them directly by a special bus. The returning workers include 14 men, 12 women and 17 children.

Local MLA Kedarnath Shukla, collector Ravindra Kumar Chowdhury and police superintendent Pankaj Kumarat, who arrived here, arranged to take the entire information to the house. The workers who were freed from the contractors told how they had heard the past and caught them in the bars. The biggest problem there is with the language, the workers said. The contractors and their employees used it to the fullest. He said he did not expect the contractor to escape from the bar. Workers thanked Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, police and district administration for getting out of the contractor.

The Collector Chowdhury has directed the Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat and Executive Engineer Rural Engineering Service to provide employment to the workers at the local level only through the Mahatma Gandhi MNREGA scheme. In addition, the sub-division officer ordered majuli to make food grains available from government fair price shops as per eligibility.
