Haven't you ever heard, when life give you lemons, TAKE IT? Lemons and lime are a rich source of many nutrients like calcium, potassium, Vitmins like C and B6 and flavonoids, which have been shown to stop cell division in many cancer cell lines. A very high source of  antibacterial, antiviral, and immune-boosting powers. With benefits relating to not just your health but also your beauty, I will tell you today how to bring this superfood routinely into our lives.

1.  Weight loss: Lemons/limes have been know to be advised by dietitions for centuries for their properties which helps in weight loss. A very simple reciepe which is required to be taken every morning, empty stomach. 
Recipe: Juice of 1 lime/lemon
              Warm water
              2 teaspoons of organic honey
Drink this potion every day and recognize the difference in as little as 1 month. 

 

 

 

2. Boosts immune system: It is a myth to not consume citrus fruits like lemon and orange when cold and flu gets you blue. In fact, lemons are suppose to help you with the flu and if taken regularly will only prevent them from occuring. Foods righ in Vit C and antioxidants, always strenghtens your immune system. By comsuming lemons, the absorbtion of iron from other sources amplifies. For fever and chills, drink one glass of water with juice of one lemon at once in every two hours till the fever starts subsiding. 
For cold or sore throat: Mix juce of one lemon , add 5 teaspoons of sea salt and one glass of lukewarm water. Gargle with this water two times a day and you will notice a significant improvement.

Lemons are amazing at fighting fatigue and putting 2 slices of lemon in your drinking water bottle will not only help in antibacterial reasons but also keep you refreshed throughout the day. 4. Relieve hypertension and anxiety: 
Recipe: 3 chopped garlic cloves
             1 chopped onion
             1lt  of low skimmed, low fat or soy milk
             1 chilli 
              Juice of 3 lemons 


Bring the chopped garlics and onion and milk to a boil and let it cool down for 5 mins. Add the chilli and later add the juice of lemons. Keep sipping this mix throughout the day and notice less stress. This reciepy also help is lowering cholestrol. 

5. Bring out the beauty in you:
 Abolish your acne with this baby! Citric acid is suppose to help you reduce acne. Note: If yo have severe acne, there are open wounds and the following recepies may react in an unpleasant way although they are 100% natural. 
* Before you go to bed, on a clean face, take a cotton ball or Q-tip and dip it in fresh lemon juice. Apply it to the affected areas and leave it over night. It will sting for a little bit but the feeling will soon wear off. Wash your face in the morning and repeat this everyday for best results. 
* Take fresh lemon/lime juice and mix it with either rose or honey water. Apply this mixture to the affected area and leave it for 20-30 mins and then wash it off. Repeat this two times a day for best results.  

Get a clear AF skin with lemons. Lemons are known for their natural bleaching properties. The following tell you how to use it in a proper way for best results. 
* You will need 3 tablespoons of chickpea flour (besan), 2 teaspoons of curd, juice of 1 lime/lemon a pinch of turmeric powder and some fat of milk (malaee). Mix the ingredients together and apply it to your clean face. Let the mixture dry and then rinse off after 30 mins. 


* Just applying mix of honey and lemon juice or rosewater with lemon juice and keeping it for about 30 mins everyday, will brighten your skin and keep you pores tight. Use a hydrating moistorizer or organic coconut oil after rinsing to avoide dryness and itchiness. 


 

* Get rid of dandruff by taking juice of about 3 lemons and add curd with it. Massage your hair with some oil of your choice (can be olive, coconut, castor or all 3 mixed) and 30 mins before washing your hair, apply this mixture all over your scalp. You will notice a significant  change in the first wash it self!
