Surat: On Friday, a family were going to participate in Simhasth Kumbh Mahaparv Mela in Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh, but in an accident two women and the driver of a vehicle were killed and five others injured.

The victims were identified as 72-year-old Parmeswari Devi, 42-year-old Pushpa Soni and the driver of the vehicle whose identity is not yet known.

The injured were Raju Soni, Manisha Soni, Masibal Soni, Somlal Soni and Baby Soni.

A tanker rammed into their taxi from rear at a turning near Sakri in Maharashtra, killing the three persons on the spot.

Those who injured are out of danger, they are being treated in a hospital.
