People died in Bulandshahr due to poisonous liquor, CM Yogi says 'strict action to be taken'

Lucknow: A case of death of five people from drinking poisonous liquor has been reported in Bulandshahar district of Uttar Pradesh. The police station in-charge of Dixit Kumar Tyagi, light in-charge, and out-of-charge in-charge Anokhi Puri has been suspended. Along with this, three people have also been detained in the case.

In Jeetagarhi village under Secunderabad Kotwali area, many people became ill due to drinking poisonous liquor, in which five people lost their lives today. With this, 15 people have been admitted to different hospitals. Villagers allege that poisonous liquor was being sold in connivance with the Department of Liquor and Excise. After the incident, liquor mafia Kuldeep is being absconding. DM Ravindra Kumar said that five people have died and 15 people are ill. Our priority is to save the lives of these 15 people. Some villagers say that all these people had drunk, after this their health deteriorated. Post mortem of the dead is being done so that it can be found out what is the reason behind the death.

On the incident of Bulandshahr, CM Yogi Adityanath has ordered strict action against the culprits. Instructions have been given to take action under the NSA on the culprits. Senior officials have been instructed to give better treatment to every victim immediately on the occasion. Also, strict action has been ordered against the guilty distillery.
