Dhaka: A fierce fire broke out in the coronavirus unit of a hospital in Gulshan Market area of Bangladesh on Wednesday. In this incident, at least five people, including a woman, died scorchingly. According to the Bangladesh time, the fire started shortly before 10 pm. Shortly after the fire, the hospital informed the fire personnel about the incident.

On giving information about the incident, Lt. Col. Zillur Rahman, Director of Operations of the Fire Service, has said that we have recovered five dead bodies. There are four men and a woman among them. Police in-charge of Gulshan area SM Kamaruzzamma said that the fire started in the corona isolation unit of the hospital on the ground floor. However, what caused the fire is not known. Media reports say that the fire broke out due to the blast in the air conditioning system and went on spreading, in which five people lost their lives. The hospital officials were not immediately available to comment.

Witnesses and fire department officials say that the place where the explosion took place was separated from the main hospital premises. Chief Brigadier General Sajjad Hussain from the Fire Service said that due to which the explosion occurred, orders have been given to investigate it.
