Saharanpur: Police encounter with miscreants on Saklapuri Road in Kotwali Mandi area of Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. In this, 50 thousand rewarded culprit who has been absconding for nearly 10 years was killed in a manned encounter. Two policemen were also shot in the firing from both sides. Both the injured policemen have been admitted to the district hospital for treatment.

Regarding the encounter, the SSP said that two policemen were injured in the encounter. A few people were present at a secluded spot near Shakalapuri Road in the district. They were in the process of executing some big event. On this information, the police officer with his team reached the spot and laid siege to the miscreants. Seeing themselves surrounded, the miscreants started firing on the police. During this time, a sub-inspector Sunil Kumar and constable Kunal Malik were injured due to firing.

In retaliatory firing by the police, a crook was shot and injured. Both the policemen and the crook were brought to the district hospital, where the crooks were declared dead by the doctors. The miscreant has been identified as the resident son of Lakhmira village, Datuli police station, Fatehpur. A prize of 50 thousand was also declared on him. Police officer Rajneesh Upadhyay and the notification wing in-charge Zarrar Hussain were also shot during the encounter, but both were wearing bulletproof jackets.
