Six arrested for looting Rs 2 lakh as fake CBI officials

Chhatarpur: Police have recently arrested six persons who looted them as fake CBI officers. In fact, the accused had looted actor Akshay Kumar's 'Special 26' on the same lines. The case is from the Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh. Six persons have been arrested from Delhi, Bhopal, and Uttar Pradesh for robbing a liquor furnace operator of two lakh rupees by showing him a pistol. Talking about the entire case, Chhatarpur District Superintendent of Police Sachin Sharma said, "Police have arrested six accused who looted a liquor furnace near Nagaon Nagar, 24 kilometers from Chhatarpur, on the morning of August 6 as fake CBI officer.''

Sachin Sharma also said, "The miscreants who looted as fake CBI officers also had pistols and told Nikhil Bansal, the operator of the liquor furnace, to investigate the 2020 toxic liquor case in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh." He further said, "These people first named the investigation and threatened Bansal a lot. After that, everyone asked for the matter to be settled and when things still did not work out, they showed the pistol and took out two lakh rupees and a hard CCTV disk kept in the drawer. After taking everything, he left.''

At the same time, he said that a case was registered against the accused at Nagaon police station on Bansal's complaint. The official said that among the arrested accused, Dharmendra Kumar Balmiki (45), Devendra Kumar Julaha (44), Avinash Kumar Maurya (40), Budhram Gurjar (44), Shivpal Singh Bhadoria (42), and Devendra Pathak (39) have been arrested. All of them have been apprehended from Delhi, Bhopal, and Uttar Pradesh. The accused say that they carried out the incident inspired by the Hindi film 'Special 26'.
