There are currently 20,104,176 active cases of infection with the novel coronavirus in the world. This number is 33.3% of the total people infected in the world so far. 38,841,288 people have recovered from the coronavirus infection. The rate of recovery from coronavirus infection in the world is 64.3%. The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the novel coronavirus an epidemic on March 11, 2020.
1,420,556 people have died due to coronavirus infection. The death rate due to coronavirus infection is 2.4% worldwide. This deadly infection has emerged from Wuhan city of China and has its roots in 220 countries of the world. Of these, 199 countries have reported deaths from fatal infections.
