Bengaluru: Six drug traffickers including two Nigerian nationals have been arrested in Karnataka's capital Bengaluru on Tuesday. Drugs worth Rs 1.05 crore have been seized from their possession. Police said two separate raids were conducted and the accused were arrested along with Ecstasy bullets, MDMA, LSD, marijuana, Cokin, and Yaba.
In the first case, a police team raided a house in Yelhanka in the city. Drugs worth Rs 55 lakh were recovered from a Nigerian and four people from Kerala from the spot. Police reported that the foreign tourist had come to India on a visa and started indulging in illegal activities in the country. In the second case, another Nigerian from Horavu was arrested with a drug cache of 5 million.
Police said inquiries are on in connection with the case. Earlier, the Central Crime Branch (CCB) of Karnataka's capital Bengaluru had taken major action against the drug mafia involving foreign nationals living in the city last Thursday. CCB officials had raided the houses of foreigners living in different parts of the city. During this time 38 foreign nationals were arrested.
