Preventing a headache can be a lot easier than treating one. Headaches are the most common health problems worldwide. While there are many effective headache treatments, headache prevention is the place to begin. Even if you can't stop every headache from happening, some simple changes can help you avoid at least a few.

Take Rest

Headaches are often a sign that your body needs a break. Lie down, and relax when you feel you’re having a headache.

Eat on time

Hunger is one of the reasons you could have a headache. If you haven't eaten anything in a while, that aching or fuzzy feeling may be a result of low blood sugar. In this case, eating something right away can lessen the pain.

Manage stress

Stress builds up and makes the head heavy. Whenever you feel stress, find ways to manage this by exercising, taking up a hobby, take a deep breath in and out.

Hot shower

You can take a long, hot shower, being sure to run water down your head and on the back of your neck. Apply a moist hot towel or warm compress to the back of your neck or on your forehead.

Drink Plenty of Water

Headache is one of the first signs of dehydration. Keep drinking water throughout the day. Make sure you're drinking enough fluids.

Have some caffeine

Having a cup of coffee when you’re having a headache is an old remedy, because caffeine has a mild effect and can be very useful in the early stages.
