England: Will Jacks, an all-rounder of England, played to the best of his ability during Thursday's T20 Blast match between Middlesex and Surrey. Jacks, who were injured and missed the most recent Indian Premier League (IPL) season, struck Luke Hollman for five consecutive sixes in the 11th over. He came close to making it six out six, but mistimed his shot on a high full toss. Jacks came within a hair's breadth of tying the mark held by former South African batter Herschelle Gibbs and India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh.Jacks missed his pull shot to deep midwicket on the last delivery of the over, scoring just one run. He was obviously sad that he didn't get the chance to get into the history books.
This year, Jacks earned his debuts for England in all three formats, earning T20I and Test caps in Pakistan before taking the field in his first ODI in Bangladesh.
Speaking of the game, Laurie Evans blasted an 85 off 37 balls and Jacks smashed 96 from 45 deliveries to help Surrey to a huge total of 252/7 at The Oval. Middlesex, though, easily outscored the total with four balls remaining.

With his 39-ball 73, captain Stephen Eskinazi led the group, and Max Holden was still unblemished. When Jacks was fielding during England's second ODI match against Bangladesh in Mirpur earlier this year, he sustained a muscular injury. Jacks was purchased by RCB for Rs 3.2 crore in the player auction in December of last year.
