Tuesday night, a festive occasion took a tragic turn when a car rammed into a crowd that had gathered to watch a dance programme in Pananha Village in Deoria district in Uttar Pradesh in which seven people killed and injuring 18.
The Ertiga was at breakneck speed when it rammed into the revellers killing people on the spot. The passengers of the car escaped without a scratch due to the air bags deployed in the vehicle.
Later, several labels of alcohol bottles were recovered from the car and the livid villagers dragged the passengers in the car to the police station. However, the injured rushed to the hospital immediately to Gorakhpur hospital where they were provided a treatment .
