New Delhi: A report by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has revealed how bad the culture of free distribution has been on the economy. According to the RBI report, the subsidy culture in Rajasthan is extremely dangerous. The report claimed that due to free culture, the condition of many states has become completely dilapidated. The states whose situation has been described as dilapidated in the Reserve Bank's report include 10 states including Punjab, Rajasthan, Kerala, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Karnataka, where free Revadis were distributed fiercely and now the situation has become worse.

RBI has said that the system of income and expenditure of all these states is also not good. The bank has advised the states that if the state is to make a fiscal deficit, then first of all the subsidy will have to be reduced. Recently, PM Narendra Modi had requested to oppose the freebies, calling it 'Revdi culture'. According to the RBI report, the worst situation is for the Rajasthan government. Recently, it has been announced to provide free electricity up to 50 units, due to which it was proposed that after this step of the Gehlot government, an additional financial burden of Rs 6000 crore is sure to come on the exchequer. Whereas more than Rs 7000 crore was spent on loan waiver of farmers from cooperative banks and free mobile distribution was announced to 1.33 crore women in the state, whose budget was kept at Rs 12,000 crore.

According to the information, due to free culture, this time the total current deficit of Rajasthan will be 40 per cent of the state's GDP. Only, during the period of the epidemic, the state's deficit had increased to 16 per cent. Whereas, the growth rate of the state remains at only 1 per cent. According to the RBI report, the Gehlot government has taken a loan of one lakh 91 thousand crore rupees for government expenditure during its tenure. The Congress government of Ashok Gehlot alone has taken 30 per cent of the loans taken by the governments so far. The special thing is that till now a total loan of Rs 4 lakh 71 thousand crores has been driven to the state. According to this, every person in Rajasthan has a debt of Rs 71000.
