Bhopal: Black marketing is not stopping amid covid-19 epidemic in Madhya Pradesh. As per the information received recently, a case under the National Security Act (Rasuka) has been registered against 75 persons involved in black marketing of Remdesivir injection used in treatment. A senior official Dr. Rajesh Rajora said, "75 people have been arrested under Rasuka and sent to jail through district collectors for black marketing of Remdesivir injection."
He also said, "In addition, six persons have been arrested and sent to jail under the Prevention of Piracy and Supply of Essential Commodities Act in the State for black marketing of remdesivir injection and medical oxygen." At the same time, he has said that five of these six persons have been arrested and sent to jail in Jabalpur, Ujjain and Sagar for black marketing of Remdesivir injection, while one person has been arrested and sent to jail in Satna in connection with the black marketing of medical oxygen.
He further said that on the directions of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Home Department has directed the District Magistrate and Superintendents of Police to take strict and prompt action under Rasuka against black marketeers of Remdesivir Injection, Medical Oxygen and other essential medicines. At the same time, they have also informed that all these people were caught in different parts of the state from 20th April to 10th May for black marketing of remdesivir injection and oxygen. 8,419 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in Madhya Pradesh last Thursday. The total number of people found infected with the virus in the same state so far has reached 7,08,621.
