The calls for cancelling CBSE Class 12th Board Exam 2021 are growing louder due to the COVID-19 situation across the country. Sources from the Education Ministry has said that there are high chances that the CBSE Class 12th Board Exam 2021 can get cancelled.
A senior ministry official was quoted, "Given the current situation, there is a possibility of scrapping the exams altogether. CBSE will review the situation and probably would have to work out an alternative assessment scheme for the Class 12th students." It has also been asserted by a senior CBSE official that it is unlikely that the CBSE Class 12th Board Exam 2021 are going to be conducted soon given the current situation in the country.
Last month, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had cancelled the CBSE Class 10th Board Exam 2021 and postponed the CBSE Class 12 thBoard Exam 2021. Recently, the CBSE has also announced the evaluation criteria based on which the results for the CBSE Class 10th Board Exam 2021 students will be prepared.
Due to the uncertainty relating to the board exams, several Class 12th Board Exam 2021 board exam candidates have taken to Twitter by using the hashtag #saveboardstudents. In the tweets, students are urging the authorities to cancel the Class 12th Board Exam 2021. Some have also suggested to evaluate them in a similar assessment criteria like the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 students.
The CBSE had notified that a decision regarding the CBSE Class 12th Board Exam 2021 will be taken after a thorough review of the COVID-19 situation in the country on June 1, 2021, when it announced the postponement of the exams last month. It had further stated that the CBSE Class 12th Board Exam 2021 students will be notified at least 15 days before the commencement of the exams. However, now, it has to be seen what decision the CBSE takes considering all the factors.
