Minister of State for Home Affairs Kishan Reddy has said in a written reply to a question that the central government is fully committed to the development of the state. The Modi government has decided to give Children Education Allowance, Hostel Allowance, Transport Allowance, LTC, Fixed Medical Allowance to these 4.5 lakh employees. These employees were not getting these allowances earlier. The central government is sanctioning an estimated amount of Rs 4,800 crore for these employees working in the two union territories Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, which came into existence on 31 October.

Reddy said that after the formation of the two union territories, according to the grant of the 14th Finance Commission, the balance share of 14,559.25 crore rupees has been divided among the two new union territories. According to the information received, it is being told that out of this, Rs 2,977.31 crore has already been released for Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Rs 1,275.99 crore. The state of Kashmir has been reconstituted. Through this, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh were made Union Territories.
