Washington: An 8-year-old boy died in a shooting in a shopping mall in the state of Alabama in the US on Friday and three others were seriously injured.
According to the information received, Hoover Police Chief Nick Dergis said that the death of a child in the afternoon firing in Riverchase Galleria caused a furore. The police chief said that a girl and two adults have been admitted to the hospital. Authorities have not yet released the names of the victims. The police has not given any reason for the firing. Dergis said the police were working on some important clues but did not say whether the suspects had been identified or not.
It has been learned that Mayor Frank Broccato said, 'We pray for the affected people'. Police Capt. Greg Rector said that several bullets were fired near a food court inside the mall. The Rector said, "We do not yet know why the firing took place or how many attackers were involved in this incident."
