Balaghat: The case that has come up recently is that of village Ratanara under Hatta police station in the district. Uncle raped with his own eight-year-old innocent niece. While taking the matter seriously, the police have arrested the accused.
In this case, police say, on Sunday, the mother of an eight-year-old girl resident of village Ratanara reached the police station and filed a complaint that the accused 26-year-old Jitendra alias Golu resident of village Rajegaon considers her a sister-in-law, so he keeps visiting her. She further said that on Saturday, she left her 10-year-old son and eight-year-old daughter in the house and went to the forest to feed the goat. The accused came to his house and escaped after raping his daughter. When she reached home in the evening, the matter came to know.
In this case, on Sunday morning, she reached the police station and lodged a complaint and on the complaint of the woman, the police accused Jitendra Kuthe, a resident of Rajegaon, against Indian Penal Code 376 AB, Section 5/6 of Posco Act and 3 (2) (5) of Atrocity Act. The matter was registered and taken into consideration. Superintendent of Police Abhishek Tiwari formed a team under the leadership of SDOP Nitesh Bhargava to arrest the accused. The station in-charge KL in the team Varkade and the police staff planned to hold the accused under siege with full understanding and he was arrested on Sunday evening.
