Mumbai: Maharashtra is the most affected state in the country due to deadly corona virus. Now a large number of policemen are also getting infected by it. In the last 24 hours, 80 policemen in Maharashtra have been found corona infected. Now the number of Corona-infected policemen in the state has reached 1889. Out of these 1809, a total of 207 police officers and 1682 police personnel are involved.
So far 20 policemen have been killed from Corona. However, the good thing is that out of these 838 policemen have returned home after defeating this disease. According to an official, one of the main reasons for the large number of infections is to stay on duty in the hotspot areas of Corona, Mumbai like Dharavi, to manage congestion in the open or at market places. The official said that with the deployment of 20 companies of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) in the last one week, the situation is expected to improve, which will give some relief to the state police.
52,667 cases have been reported in the most affected state of Maharashtra in the country. More than 30 thousand cases have been registered in Mumbai alone. There have been 1695 deaths in the state, of which 1110 have occurred only in Mumbai.
