New Delhi: Health Ministry Joint Secretary Lav Agarwal said that the active cases of corona in the country are now less than 5 lakh. Corona cases have come down by 30 percent. Less than 50,000 cases have been registered continuously in the country for the last nine days. 80 percent of the new cases of corona infection are coming from 90 districts. More cases of corona are being reported in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Karnataka.

Lav Agarwal said that there are still some districts in the country where the positivity rate is more than 10 percent. Mainly, the positivity rate is high in Arunachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Manipur, Kerala, Meghalaya, Tripura, Sikkim, Odisha, Nagaland. The Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health said that 'There are more cases of virus in some districts. We have to assume that the second wave of corona is still continuing in some areas'.

Lav Agarwal also said that people travelling to hill stations are not following covid-appropriate behaviour. If the protocol is not followed, we can re-cancel the decision to relax corona restrictions and tighten the restrictions. Today, 34,703 new corona cases have been reported from all over the country, after which the total number of positive cases has now increased to 3,06,19,932. On the other hand, the total number of deaths in the country has now gone up to 4,03,281 after 553 people died due to infection due to last 24 hours. In addition, the total discharge after 51,864 new discharges has gone up to 2,97,52,294.
