Commenting on how the industry performed in May 2020, Fada President, Ashish Harsharaj Kale said, "For the first time in history, the month of April was seen with a low retail. While the lockdown slowed down - Relaxed in early May, auto dealerships and workshops opened for the first time. Work began after 40 days in many cities. At the end of May, nearly 60 percent of the 26,500 outlets had showrooms and 80 percent of workshops nationwide. The registrations in May were not indicative of the status of the demand because the lockdown was still continuing in many parts.
