Approximately, 9 people were laid dead and five people were left injured in an unfortunate accident when a car banged into an oil tanker and exploded on a bridge with suitable traffic, which led the vehicles on fire near the Lagos city on Thursday.
According to the recent information, the tanker burst into flames at 5 pm (local time) on the Lagos Ibadan Expressway, which is used by people who live on the outskirts of the city.
An official from the Nigerian government informed the CNN that the number of people who died in the accident is being expected to rise since as many as 54 vehicles caught fire due to the explosion.
Emergency response teams arrived some time later at the scene, to rescue the people who were trapped in the fire.
