Infection continues to increase in Indore Central Jail, 9 new cases found

In many areas of Madhya Pradesh, the effect of corona is increasing rapidly. Indore city is the most infected with Corona in the state. Two guards with 17 inmates of the local Central Jail have been found to be Corona positive. According to information received from Jail Superintendent Rakesh Kumar Bhangra and Indore CMHO Dr Praveen Jadia, 9 more inmates of the jail have been confirmed to be infected on Tuesday.

Number of corona infected reaches 127 in Ujjain, 23 deaths so far

In the last about a fortnight, the number of infected people has reached 19 in the Central Jail. Two prison guards are also involved in this. However, the infected prisoners have now been sent to temporary jail. According to the jail superintendent, a total of 124 inmates were kept in temporary jails away from the Central Jail Campus after the symptoms of corona in the prisoners, out of which 9 inmates have been found to be positive. Two prison guards and eight prisoners had tested positive. According to officials, the corona infection in the prison spread due to a 58-year-old prisoner. This prisoner was found to be Corona positive after his arrest on 14 April.

On April 7, this man was arrested in the crime of stone pelting on police in Chandan Nagar. He was accompanied by his 25-year-old son. A National Security Act case was registered against the son and was sent to Jabalpur Central Jail where he was found to be Corona positive. On receiving this information, the 58-year-old man was immediately taken to the hospital where its test positive also came. Indore Central Jail currently has about 2050 prisoners while the capacity is only 1230 prisoners. Screening of all prisoners is being done in the jail every day.
