Three days after the incident, Illyas returned from the trip and enquired about Bashir. Roshan allegedly told him that had gone out of town for some work. When Bashir didn't return for a few days, Iliyas approached the police and registered a missing complaint.
The police they zeroed in on Roshan and Jeenabi. Fearing that she would get caught, Jeenabi consumed sleeping pills and was hospitalized.
