New Delhi: Bhartiya Janta Party national President Amit Shah expressed his anguish on the demise of Shabir Ahmad Bhat who was shot dead at his home by terrorists in Pulwama district  of Jammu and Kashmir.

Amit Shah taking to twitter said that the sacrifice of late BJP  karyakarta will not go in vain.

“The sacrifice of our @BJP4JnK karyakartas will not go in vain. Entire BJP stands firmly with Shabir Ahmad Bhat's family in this hour of grief. My deepest condolences. May god give his family the strength to bear this tragic loss”, He tweeted.

Amit Shah in another tweet said that this act of cowardice is highly condemnable ,“Anguished to learn about the killing of BJP karyakarta, Shabir Ahmad Bhat by terrorists in Pulwama (J&K). This act of cowardice is highly condemnable. Extremists cannot stop the youth of Kashmir from choosing a better future for themselves. This cycle of violence won't last long”. 

A man allied with the ruling PM Modi led Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) was shot dead by militants around early on Wednesday morning in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir. According to the reports, he was shot dead at his home in Pulwama district. The BJP associate, Shabir Ahmed Bhat, was shot at around 2:30 am in Rakh-e-litter village of Pulwama, as Times now reported. He was abducted by terrorists last night. His bullet-ridden body was recovered at night. The police have registered a case and search operations are in progress in the area.

According to media reports today the police has sent the BJP associates dead body to the post-mortem.
