New Delhi: The mortal remains of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee are being taken to BJP Headquarters.People from all walks of life paid their tributes to former 13th PM  of India and Bharat Ratna. The 93-year-old  Vajpayee ji yesterday declared dead by Delhi's AIIMS at 5.05 PM.

PM Narendra Modi arrived at BJP Headquarters at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg where mortal remains of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee will be brought shortly.

Vajpayee ji's mortal remains draped in tricolour and he was given send off with full of state honours. The huge crowd of people have also joined the procession.

 Supreme Court and the Registry will observe half-day holiday today and will sit till 1 pm on the demise of Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji. As the mark of respect to former PM Vajpayee ji. Union Cabinet declared the half-day holiday in the afternoon in all central government offices and CPSUs across the country. Several state governments also announced holiday today.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu paid tribute to former Vajpayee ji at his residence in Delhi.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi also paid tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at his residence in Delhi.
