Atta Halwa is one of the simple and easy to make dessert  that you can prepare anytime for your loved ones. When you don't have many ingredients in your home, try this easy recipe cooked using wheat flour, ghee, cashews, almonds, and raisins. You must try this North Indian recipe at home!

Ingredients of Atta Halwa
1 cup wheat flour
5 cashews
5 raisins
2 cup water
1/4 cup powdered jaggery
5 almonds
150 gm ghee

How to make Atta Halwa
Step 1

First put a deep-bottomed pan on medium flame and add water in it, bring it to a boil. Afterwards, add jagery powder or gur to the boiled water and keep stirring till gur melts on low flame. Keep this jaggery syrup aside till required.
Step 2
Now, put a pan over medium flame and melt ghee in it. When the ghee is hot enough, add cashews, almonds, and raisins and roast them well. Transfer these nuts and raisins in a bowl and keep aside. In the same pan, melt more ghee and add wheat flour or atta in it. Stir well till the atta get roast properly and ghee separates well. (Note: Make sure you roast the wheat flour on low flame.)
Step 3
Once the flour is roasted well, add the warm jaggery syrup in it and stir to mix well till the halwa like consistency is achieved. Then, add roasted cashews, almonds and raisins in the pan and sprinkle the cardamom powder over the halwa. Cook for 1-2 minutes and switch off the burner. Serve the halwa hot by garnishing with almonds and cashews on it.
