In the third one-day match played between England and Australia, the English team made 481 runs in 50 overs with a world record of 481 runs. This is the new world record for the highest team score in ODIs. Even before this, the world record was the name of England, which he made about 444 runs against three wickets against Pakistan on the same ground two years ago. After that, the English team won the match by 242 runs in 37 overs for 239 runs.

With this victory, England made an unbeatable 3-0 lead in the five-match series. After such a big defeat, Australia captain Tim Penn said that this was the toughest day of his life.  These 242-run defeats have been the biggest loss of five times world champions Australia in the history of ODI cricket. Earlier, Australia's side beat New Zealand by 206 runs on the Adelaide ground in 1986. 32 years later England broke this record. England also has the biggest win in ODIs.

After this defeat, Australian captain Tim Penn called it the toughest day of his life. At the press conference, after the match was over, Tim said, "It was a tough day. In the last match, I was feeling the pain due to the ball on the head, but to say the truth, the pain in this match was more." Tim said in the dressing room that he is coming to play cricket since childhood, but this one day is the most difficult day of cricket career in his life.

He said, "Our every effort was unsuccessful. Generally, you get some wickets after one or two hours, but it lasted for a long time. I do not think the circumstances, the wicket, and what we have done before are all the reasons for this result. We faced this as some of the players overtook us."
