Avinash Rai Khanna to be the BJP state president for Goa

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National vice-president Avinash Rai Khanna has been given the additional charge as the state president of the party in Goa.

Currently, he also holds the charge as the state party president for states Jammu and Kashmir and Rajasthan. Khanna has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Amit Shah.

Avinash Rai Khanna is also the vice-chairman of the Indian Red Cross Society. Avinash Rai Khanna started his political journey with contesting state assembly elections from Garhshankar constituency from Punjab. He also served as the BJP state president for Punjab and under his leadership, BJP secured 19 out of the 27 state assembly seats in the year 2007.

Later, he was elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) in the Fourteenth Lok Sabha from Hoshiyarpur constituency from Punjab. He then served as the Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha from 2010 to 2016.

Avinash Rai Khanna started his journey into the social service with Seva Bharti Sanstha. He gained popularity with his service for the marginalized. Khanna is known as the social worker leader who is sympathetic to the poor and needy.
