Bengaluru: CM Kumaraswamy and Ex CM Siddaramaiah once again are crossing the swards in Karnataka over HD Kumaraswamy's budget proposal to decrease the Re 1 per kilo rice under Anna Bhagya scheme for the poor by 2 kg and the hike in fuel prices.

Siddaramaiah has asked the CM Kumaraswamy  in a letter for not to reduce the quantity of rice from current 7 kg per person to 5 kg per person to mobilize funds for the Rs 34,000-crore farm loan waiver.

It is noted that Siddaramaiah government’s flagship ‘Anna Bhagya’ scheme has benefited over 3 crore people in the state,  and reportedly  He is upset over Kumaraswamy's proposal to reduce the quantity.

Siddaramaiah in his letter, has further said that reducing the quantity by 2 kg would save just Rs

600-700 crore per year.

He also showed the concerns that Kumaraswamy not increased the charge on petrol and diesel, which would push up fuel prices.

Siddaramaiah's letter has fuel the buzz in the political corridors on his next move.

The BJP was quick to capture the chance, with Leader of Opposition BS Yeddyurappa asserting that Siddaramaiah's letter had revealed the clashes in the JD(S)-Congress alliance government.

Worth mention here CM Kumaraswamy is yet to respond to Siddaramaiah's notification and is expected to take out his proposal to save the alliance government from yet another crisis.
