Most Gujarat much-awaited results of Assembly polls, which saw a political battle contest between the two leading parties - the saffron Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress,  elected ‘Vikas’  to be crowned today.

Meanwhile, NCP leader Praful Patel said the Congress would have "done better" in the Gujarat election if it had formed a union with his party. "The Congress should have tied up with the NCP. They could have done better," Patel said.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Monday pat on the back of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for winning Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh, uttering that the voting results proved Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a lot of respect in the nation.

 Talking at Media Briefing Raje asserted "Today is a great day. Both the Gujarat and the Himachal Pradesh results show that our prime minister has a lot of respect in the nation,” saying CM Raje to greet BJP win.

Raje further said that it was because of him (Prime Minister Modi) that all the BJP leaders were working hard in their respective states.

At the time of reporting, the BJP is leading on 99 seats while Congress on 80 in Gujarat

In Himachal Pradesh, BJP is leading with 45 while Congress is on 19.

The BJP workers have on track of celebration all over the nation as trends indicate saffron party's win in both the states.

 In Delhi, Tajinder Bagga brought a cake to the Delhi headquarters of the party with pictures of mushrooms on it, in the scenery of divisive comments in opposition to the PM Modi.

Alpesh Thakur raised question on PM Modi about eating five expensive mushrooms per day and per mushrooms is casting Rs. 80000.

The counting of votes for 68 Assembly seats in Himachal Pradesh and 182 constituencies in Gujarat embark on at 8 am on Monday.
