New Delhi :Chhattisgarh assembly elections are going to be held in late 2018 However, this electoral battle seems to be very interesting because in the elections, former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's niece Karuna Shukla is in the ground. What makes it so special is that Congress has given Karuna a ticket against Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh. Today is the last day for filing nominations for the first phase of Chhattisgarh Assembly Elections .

UP CM Yogi Adityanath after arriving in Raipur addressing media said that he will get an opportunity to be present during nomination filing by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh and to interact with party workers here. He assured that BJP will again form government in Chhattisgarh with huge majority.

Earlier Congress has announced the names of the candidates for the first phase of assembly elections in Chhattisgarh. In which Congress has given ticket to Karuna Shukla from Rajnadgaon Assembly. Raman Singh will also fight the BJP from the same seat.  Worth mention here in the 2014 Lok Sabha election, she did not get the ticket from BJP, after which Karuna got angry and went to the Congress .

Congress has announced another 6 candidates for the first phase of Chattisgarh polls.  Atal Bihari Vajpayee's niece Karuna Shukla to take on CM Raman Singh from Rajnandangaon. The party had announced 12 candidates in last evening, as ANI tweeted.
