Bhima Koregaon violence updates: National Human Rights Commission has taken suo moto cognizance of media reports about the arrest of five activists by the police from different cities yesterday in connection with the investigations in the Bhima Koregaon violence.

National Human Rights Commission has observed that it appears, the standard operating procedure in connection with these arrests has not been properly followed by the police authorities, which may amount to violation of their human rights.

Meanwhile Sitaram Yechury,CPI(M) said ,'There will be a protest at Jantar Mantar(Delhi) tomorrow by the Left and all progressive groups against the unethical crackdown.

 Unless police have proof it doesn't take action, when there is proof Court gives police custody. Clear that Govt has evidence &secondly how can they support Naxalism.These people follow their own govt, is it good for democracy?: Deepak Kesarkar,MoS Home, Maharashtra raised questions on Bhima Koregaon arrest.

Tomorrow she will be produced before High Court,till then she is under our supervision. Media would be barred from talking to her.But she can meet her advocates:DCP,NIT Faridabad on activist Sudha Bharadwaj who is under house arrest in connection with Bhima Koregaon violence case.

Follwing Bhima Koregaon violence eminent persons Romila Thapar, Prabhat Patnaik, Satish Deshpande, Maya Darnall and one other person moved the Supreme Court against the arrest of activists Sudha Bhardwaj and activist Gautam Navlakha. SC to hear the matter at 3:45 pm on Wednesday.
