Sambar is a tasty dish which is liked by everyone. It is found everywhere in South India but today we will tell you about the secret recipe which you can make at home.

Ingredients Required:

Arhar Dal-1/2 cup, fenugreek-1 cup,

Carrot -1 / 4 cup,

Sahajan pod - 6-7 long cut,

Tomatoes - 1 chopped,

Onion - 1 chopped,

Sambar powder - 2 teaspoons,

Tamarind paste - 1 teaspoon,

salt - according to taste 

For tadka

ghee-1/2 teaspoons,

mustard-¼ teaspoon,

asafoetida-pinch,

curry leaves- 7-8,

standing red chilly-1 -2,

urad dal,

gram dal- 1 teaspoon.

Method :

Beat the turmeric lentils and soak it in half a cup of water for 20 minutes. Now add 1 tsp salt to the lentil and boil it until it becomes asleep. If you want, you can also take out whistle in the pressure cooker. Peel the onion and wash it. Mix one cup of water in the tamarind paste and boil it until all the chopped vegetables and onions are melted by adding a little salt. Take the mashed pulse of boiled dough well. Wash the tomatoes and cut them into small pieces. Now put tomato and boiled vegetables in boiled dal, cook until boiling. Now add the Samba masala and cook it for two minutes and cook it.

For tadka - heat ghee/oil in a pan. Now pour mustard seeds in it. When the mustard is chopped, slow the flame, add asafoetida, curry leaves, dry red chillies, gram dal and urad dal until it becomes pink. It takes about one minute. Put the temperate in the sambar. Serve with rice and add green coriander.
