Congress demands action against BJP MP Nishikant Dubey who let wash his feet

Jalandhar (Punjab) [India], Sep 17 (NT): The grand old Congress party on Monday demanded an strict action launching a scornful attack on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after a video wherein a Member of Parliament (MP) Nishikant Dubey, letting a party worker wash his feet and drink that water surfaced on social media.

Worth mention here the BJP MP drew criticism after the party worker; Pawan washed the parliamentarian's feet and drank the used water subsequently.

Speaking to the leading news agency ANI over the whole incident, Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala demanded action against the Dubey and said that the arrogance of the manner of BJP leaders like Nishikant Dubey who are usual offenders of making insults to others, of breaking the custom and of self-prophesying a God-like position for themselves, is now come in light.

He raised the questions and asked, "Has the arrogance of BJP leaders reached such a zenith that now they want their Karyakartas and common people to wash their feet and drink that water? Is it even humane in the 21st century?," he was quoted as saying by ANI.

He also raised questions over the culture and ethics of the BJP. Surjewala said that this is the culture and ethics of the BJP that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah speak about.

 He also showed his doubt and said “Will they take action against Dubey”.

On a related note, the incident took place on Sunday when the MP toured Kanhavara village of his constituency to announce the creation of a bridge.
