Data breach controversy: Zuckerberg denies appearing in front of British parliamentary committee

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has refused to appear before a British parliamentary committee. Appearing before the committee, Zuckerberg had to clear the role of Facebook in Fake News and Cambridge Analyte data scandal.

Zuckerberg asked his company's Chief Technical Officer Mike Scoffer and Chief Product Officer Chris Cox to give a clean sweep on the matter. If the British Parliamentary Committee accepts the presence of both senior executives at the place of Zuckerberg, then these officers will have to tell how Facebook allows Cambridge Analytica to use data from its users.

Facebook's public policy head Rebecca Simon responded in a call to the Conservative Politician Damian Collins. In the case of Fake News, Collins had Jacarberg's muscle in front of the Select Committee Inquiry. The two senior officers who have been asked to give clearance to the matter have been associated with the company for a long time.

Both of these executives report directly to Zuckerberg. Earlier, Scoffer had reacted to the role of Fake News and role of Russia in the 2016 US Presidential election. However, Cox has not responded to this scandal so far. However, he is one of the most popular executives on Facebook. Collins said earlier this month in front of the DDCMS Select Committee to give evidence from Mark Zuckerberg.
