Election Commission announces Assembly poll schedule for 5 states: Know important dates of Counting and voting

Simultaneous elections will be held in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram, before 15th December announced Chief Election Commissioner OP Rawat in Delhi today addressing the press meet. CEC OP Rawat  added that Model of conduct to come into force in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram with immediate effect: CEC O P Rawat held a meeting with chief electoral officers of five  poll bound  states in Delhi on Friday. The CEOs of Rajasthan, MP, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram were present in the two-day meeting.

-Dates for Telangana polls not to be announced today.

-While polls in Chhattisgarh are expected to be held in two phases, elections in the other states might see polling in one phase, He announced.

-Madhya Pradesh and Mizoram assembly elections to be held on 28th November.Phase 1 voting for state assembly election in Chhattisgarh to take place on 12 November, voting for phase 2 on 20 November.

-Counting of votes to be done on 11 December for Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram, Rajasthan and Telangana state assembly elections.

-Rajasthan and Telangana assembly elections to be held on 7th December.

-Date of counting for all states December 11

-Telangana assembly elections to be held on 7 December

-Election in Rajasthan to be held on 7 December

-Mizoram elections to be held on 28th November

-Madhya Pradesh elections to be held on 28th November

-By-polls in Shimoga, Bellary and Mandya in Karnataka to be held on 3rd November
