Former PM Manmohan Singh briefs CWC on the economic condition of country, NRC draft bill, Rafale deal issue discussed

New Delhi: The second meeting of Congress Working Committee chaired by Congress President Rahul Gandhi began today wherein UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi not presents, as she was unwell. Senior Congress leader and former PM Manmohan Singh briefed Congress Working Committee on the economic condition of country. Issues of NRC draft bill, Rafale deal issue and corruption were discussed, as per the sources reported to the leding news agency ANI.

The Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting was held from All India Congress Committee headquarters in Delhi.

Following are the key focus areas of the meet

-The National Register of Citizens (NRC)

-Assam Accord, Maratha reservation

-Muzaffarpur shelter home issue

According to reports, CWC member Tarun Gogoi, PCC President Ripun Bora, Congress Legislative Party leader Debabrata Saikia and MPs Gaurav Gogoi and Sushmita Dev have were present at the meeting.

Chaired by Congress President Rahul Gandhi, senior party leaders including former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Ghulam Nabi Azad, and former Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit attended the meeting.

United Progressive Alliance. This is the second CWC meeting under Rahul Gandhi's chairmanship. Assam Congress leaders have also been invited for this meeting.
