Several parts of the North Gujrat received the heavy rainfall on Sunday. Around the 92 tehsils of the Gujrat have received more than half of the average rainfall over last 24 hours. Umarpada Takula received the 183mm in 9 hours on Saturday. Southern Gujrat also received around 67% of the average annual rainfall.

High Rain alert in Uttarakhand, fear of cloudburst

Saurashtra received around 58.55 % rains whereas North Gujrat and Kutch received 27.48% and 11.08% respectively. It is forecast that heavy rainfall will continue for another two or three days. The Met department forecast to receive rainfall in northern parts Gujrat as well as southern Gujrat over next five days. It is also has been forecasted that rainfall will be at peak in north, south and central Gujrat on Tuesday. Although Northern and southern part of the Gujrat are receiving heavy rainfall still there are three districts which are still dry. Kutch, Gandhinagar and Surendranagar have received very low rainfall.

 

Rajasthan also received the heavy rainfall which caused great problems. In Bikaner, Railway track submerged in water due to heavy rainfall in this area. It is affecting the transportation system of the area. Travellers, tourists and local people are facing a huge problem due to incessant rain.
