We often see people talking about themselves. Generally, we think that they are doing it to seek attention or they are self-obsessed but 'NO' they are not. It is to be noted that, every time they don't want to grab your attention. Studies say that when any person is talking to himself he can be in a state of depression, and studies further indicate that they are prone to anxiety or other thought disorder.

The main cause of depression is the deficiency of serotonin chemical present in the brain. Serotonin chemical generally makes the human feel pleasant and due to the lack of this chemical the person gets depressed.

One can also take a treatment from clinical psychologists, who are expert in providing psychotherapy like psychodynamichumanisticcognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and systems or family therapy.

According to MCI, the rate of the people suffering from this disease is increasing gradually. Till 2017, it has been recorded that more than 10% of Indian population is suffering from this problem.

In society, many types of myths exist related to this topic. People often avoid meeting a psychiatrist because they take it very lightly. The myths include, taking the disease as an emotional outburst or thinking that person is possessed. They feel ashamed of telling others about this because of which they live with this sort of depression.

People prone to this type of distress more often say “I, me and myself” up to 2,000 times a day. This problem generally persists when any person is dominated by the peer group or by family members. Seeking psychiatrist help is the only solution to this problem.
