Nanda Amitabh Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan’s advertisement that marked the debut of the later was released with an overwhelming message related to honesty that an old man shows. The actor has released the video with excitement and emotion on his social media account and wrote down: “T 2870 - Emotional moment for me .. tears welling up every time I see it .. daughters are the BEST !!”
But the great trouble arose in the way of Kalyan Jewellers when All India Bank Officers' Confederation of around 3,20,000 officers have asked an apology and to pull back the ad from airing from the associates. The association claimed that the ad put the bank officials at a bad light and its a clear case of defamation. The AIBOC’s general secretary Soumya Datta then claimed: “The advertisement portrays banks in bad light, casting aspersion, hurting the sentiment of millions of personnel, stakeholders and is a direct attempt to ruin the trust and confidence of billions of citizenries in banks”
However, at that time the jewel company denied the allegation and reverted that “We understand that your esteemed association feels that the bankers have been portrayed in bad light. We state it on record that it is a pure fiction and at no point, we have intended to generalize the bank officers at large,” oneindia reports suggested.
But now in a media interaction Kalyan Jewellers executive director, Ramesh Kalyanaraman expressed "We sincerely regret the inadvertent hurt caused and withdraw the advertisement from all media with immediate effect," The ad that also featured Malayalam actor Manju Warrier has been withdrawn and will not be aired further. Notably, the bank association threatens legal action and said that “We deem it as a case of defamation to all the banks as a whole,”
