NEW DELHI: A fresh controversy sparked when Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) IT cell Chief Amit Malviya on Tuesday tweeting the dates for the Karnataka Assembly Elections even before the Election Commission. Shortly after the incident, Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala took a dig on BJP and said that the BJP has become the 'Super Election Commission'.

Surjewala took his officialTwitter handle and said, "BJP becomes the 'Super Election Commission' as they announce poll dates for Karnataka even before the EC."

On the other hand Congress senior leaders are assured to not enter BJP in Power at poll-bound-state.

   “Congress is ready to face election; we'll be victorious against BJP. What BJP has done gives an impression that they don't regard a constitutional office. Weaker section of society has always been with Cong “, Veerappa Moily, on Karnataka Election2018 and Amit Malviya tweet row.

Conversely BJP aspire to unseat Congress.

“BJP will get clear majority in the upcoming elections in Karnataka. No divisive politics will work this time” Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said

The election for the 224-member Karnataka Assembly will be held on May 12, 2018 and counting of votes will take place on 15 May, 2018. The last state elections were held in the first week of May in 2013.
