Karnataka election updates: Results declared on 2267 out of total 2664 seats in 102 urban local bodies where polls took place on August 31.

Accrording to the inputs of leading news agency ANI Congress wons 846, BJP wons 788, JD(S) wons 307, and independent candidates won 277 seats.

Here is The final result of the urban local bodies of Chikkodi constituency.

Hukkeri Municipality:

 BJP-08, Congress-12, Independent-03

Sankeshwar Municipality:

Congres-11, BJP-11, Independent-01 Raibag

 Pattan Panchayat: Congress-12, BJP-07

Kudachi municipality: Congres-13, BJP-10,

Nippani Municipality: Congress-12, BJP-13, Independent-06 (No clear majority to any party)

Chikkodi Municipality: BJP-13, Congress-10 (Clear majority for BJP).

 Big set back to sitting MLA Ganesh Hukkeri and his father MP Prakash Hukkeri.

Sadalaga Municipality: Congress-10, BJP-10, JDS-2, Independent-1 (No clear majority in Sadalaga).

Afzalpur counting completed on all the 23 seats. Earlier, one ward (ward no 19) candidate nomination was rejected for which polling would be held afterward. Declared 22 and one candidate won commonly. Congress 16, BJP 5, Independent 1.

Taking about Sankeshwar municipality,  Congress and BJP won in 11 Wards and 1 seat won by Independent candidate. Independent candidate Ajith Karajagi is now kingmaker to decide the ruling party in the municipality.

Earlier Results declared on 1412 out of total 2664 seats in 102 urban local bodies where polls took place on August 31. Congress wons 560, BJP won 499, JD(S) won 178, and independent candidates won 150 seats. (Results taken by ANI and TOI)
