Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb from BJP again grabbed the headlines for the wrong remarks. When Deb was asked by a reporter to comment on the recent lynchings in the state his response left everyone shocked and stunned.

“There is a wave of joy in Tripura and you should also enjoy this wave. You should also become happy. Look at my face... I am so happy,” This is what Deb asserted on Wednesday, reported the Hindustan Times and Times Now.

However, Giving clarification the government said the CM had been misquoted as  he made the statements while talking about the newly-renamed Agartala airport after the former king - Maharaja Bir Bikram Manikya Kishore Airport.

“Unfortunately, attempts have been made to take the above comments of the chief minister out of context and relate them to the severely reprehensible incidents of lynchings,” statement reads which has been released by the Tripura directorate of information and cultural relations on Thursday for clarifiation.

 Worth mention here few days ago four people were lynched, as per reports by aggrasive mob in Tripura.

In other incident an anti-rumour campaigner in Kalacherra late last month was also lynched by mob .
