The Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamta Banerjee, on Saturday attended the Martyr’s day rally held by the Trinmul Congress. Banerjee talked about the strategies that she and her party would follow in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The rally took place just a day after the victory of Modi in the “No Confidence Motion”.
Mamta said that the entire country is facing issues of mob lynching almost everyday in some or the other part of the country.
The West Bengal Chief Minister also targeted the Bhartiya Janata Party and the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh. Addressing the rally, Mamta said, ”The way lynching is happening everywhere in the country, they are creating Talibanis among people. In BJP & RSS, there are good people whom I respect but some are playing dirty games.”
She also added, “We will start 'BJP hatao, desh bachao' campaign on August 15.”
The rally was attended by some well-known names like Chandan Mitra and former CPM Moinul Hassan. Many others like Yasmin, a Congress leader, and Vishvajeet Deb, an advocate from Mizoram were part of the rally. The rally sought the presence of a massive crowd who had come to get a glimpse of Mamta Banerjee and also listen to her.
