Maruti Suzuki's Wagon R will be Suzuki's first electric car

Maruti Suzuki is going to start testing electric vehicles from October. Initially, the company has set a target of testing 50 cars. The company will launch its first electric vehicle in India in 2020.
Speaking in a program organized by the Policy Commission, Suzuki Motor Company's Chairman Osamu Suzuki said, "We have planned to launch an electric vehicle in India in association with Toyota in 2020. I am happy to announce that Indian Traffic And accordingly, 50 electric vehicles are being introduced into the road running test next month. " 

The company had also announced to introduce a battery plant in India. It is considering its first electric vehicle run with the Toyota Motor Corporation. Toyota and Maruti Suzuki have introduced a Vehicle Sharing Junk Venture. 

Maruti Suzuki is using Wagon R of 2018 for the test of electric cars. At present, there is no fully electric car produced by Suzuki. Although in Japan, the company is selling many hybrid models. 

SIAM asked the government to consider a long-term policy for the government to promote electric vehicles in the country. With this type of policy, the industry will be able to make investment plans correctly for the future. However, Siam demanded that this section be reduced to implement the real possibility.
