Another incident puts Humanity to shame. Reportedly, Aurangabad police have arrested a woman who pushed her 10-months old son to water and drowned him.
Radhika, on Saturday night the heartless mother of a 10-months old child, killed her son Prem Parmeshwar. exactly a day after the complaint was filed, Radhika was arrested by the police. The police investigated around the apartment in which Radhika resided. During the process, the police found the body of the child in a drum of water.
On being interrogated for a while, Radhika admitted, "I did not like this child as I always wanted a girl and so I put him in the water drum to let him die." The lady has been booked under IPC Section 302 for the murder.
Radhika was presented before the court, post which, the court commanded her to be sent for a two-day police custody. The matter is being investigated further.
This incident has led the localities of Aurangabad to shock. Initially, it even shocked the police and according to them, it seemed unbelievable to learn that the 10-months old little boy was murdered by his own mother because she wanted a girl child.
Cases of female infanticide have been heard of quite commonly but this was something extremely unusual.
