Patna:  Bihar High Court has given 2 weeks time to Probe agency CBI to prepare a report on Muzaffarpur shelter home case. Also, court has asked state govt to provide details on rehabilitation of the inmates of shelter home, as Lalit Kishore (Advocate General, Patna High Court) told the news agency ANI on Muzaffarpur shelter home case.

Here are 7 Key developments-

1. State govt’s written argument was presented before Patna High Court today which court has accepted. Court has also accepted state govt’s appeal to hold HC-monitored CBI enquiry and conduct speedy trials in special court, Advocate General,Patna HC further said.

2. A PIB (Press Information Bureau) team reached the newspaper office of Brajesh Thakur, who is a prime accused in Muzaffarpur Shelter Home case, for investigation.

3. In his press meet, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar said that the matter should be investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation & the High Court should monitor their investigation.

4. Dharna was held so debate on corruption is scuttled. It was used as stage for political goals. Corrupt leaders accused in many cases and a minister, who uses bad words for women, stood with candle in march, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar lashed out opposition parties on strike led by RJD in Delhi following the Muzaffarpur Shelter Home sexual assault case.

5. Patna High Court asked CBI & Bihar govt for a detailed action report on the case.

6. AS Social Welfare Minister Manju Verma and her husband have appeared as an accused during investigation, Gopal Narayan Singh, BJP MP demanded that she should've resigned for an impartial investigation. He further said Nitish ji should also tell her to stay suspended until all investigations are done.

7. A three-member medical team will shortly arrive at Shaheed Khudiram Bose Central Jail for the medical examination of accused Brajesh Thakur, who is currently lodged there.
