Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has been shocked by the hearing done by the court before the general elections in Pakistan. On Friday, the Supreme Court has convicted Nawaz Sharif for 10 years and his daughter, Miriam Sharif, for seven years in Avenfield Corruption case. The court has imposed a penalty of about 73 million rupees on Nawaz Sharif and 18 million rupees on Mary. At the same time, both sons of Nawaz Sharif, Hussein and Hassan have been declared fugitives. A lifetime arrest warrant has been issued against them.

68-year-old Sharif is currently in London with Mary. The punishment was given to them because they could not tell the court about where they got money to buy plush bungalows in the 1990s. The court also declared them dishonest, because they did not reveal the income from the company owned by their son.

A look at Nawaz Sharif's political career and controversy:

Mohammed Nawaz Sharif is a senior leader of Pakistan and a leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) He was born on December 25, 1949, in a business family of Lahore. His father Muhammad Sharif migrated from Amritsar to Pakistan. His education has been from St. Anthony School of Lahore and Government College, Lahore.

In 1976, then Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto nationalized his steel business. After this, he came into active politics. During that time he was considered very close to Jia-ul-Haq. Zia ul Haq made him Finance Minister of Punjab in 1981. In this way, they got an entry in Politics. Then in 1985, he became the Chief Minister of Punjab.

After the death of Jia-ul-Haq in August 1988, Jia's supporters were led by Sharif. Benazir Bhutto won the election in November 1988 and Sharif became the leader of the opposition. However, after the intervention of the army, Sharif resigned from his position in July 1993. In this year's election, Benazir Bhutto became the leader of the opposition for the second time in power.

After this, after winning the 1997 general election, Nawaz became the prime minister for the second time. Sharif involved two nuclear explosions in 28 and 30 May 1998 and included Pakistan in the list of countries with this strength. In the meantime, Army chief Parvez Musharraf and the increasing anxiety between them caused a dramatic turnaround by the army.

In the military rule, Sharif was sued and prepared to give him a death sentence. On receiving his voice Saudis King Fahad and Bill Clinton pressured the army and he was exiled to the country for ten years. After the Supreme Court order in 2007, he returned home.

Nawaz's rigidity came to headlines when an international group of investigative journalists named ICIJ named 11.5 million secret documents (Panama papers) public. These documents come out through a law firm named Mosacack Phosseka. Among them, there was information about the information on 2,14,488 offshore companies (foreign establishments) lawyers and their clients.

On August 29, 2016, a petition for dismissal of Nawaz Sharif was filed by the Supreme Court in the Supreme Court. The party said that Nawaz had misinterpreted in Parliament. The Supreme Court accepted these petitions. The trial of the case was completed on February 23, 2017, but there was no clear result. After this, the court decided to make a joint investigation team (JIT). On the 10th of this month, JIT gave its 275-page investigation report.

Thereafter, the hearing began again from July 17. The court reserved its order on 21. On 28 July, Nawaz Sharif was sacked in the historic decision. At the same time, the crisis in democratic politics in Pakistan is beginning to worsen. With the dismissal, Nawaz missed the first Pakistani Prime Minister to complete his term.

Last year, after the name of Nawaz Sharif's name, appeared in the Panama Papers case, the Supreme Court of Pakistan had disqualified him. Now the court has termed Nawaz Sharif lifetime disqualification. Now he has also been sentenced to 10 years in the case of Corruption. After the court's decision, Sharif will never be able to contest elections and will not be appointed in any public post.
